Individual and Group Therapy
EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING PROGRAMS
Effective July 1, 2017, Dana's counseling practice will be moving to 235 Pendleton Street, NW in Aiken SC. The move will provide an opportunity to offer an expanded array of services including group therapy, yoga instruction and psychoeducational seminars.
The decision to seek counseling can be full of uncertainty and embarrassment. Dana Rideout, licensed professional counselor and nationally certified counselor, understands the individual’s reluctance to talk about very personal issues to a complete stranger. That is why she makes every effort to make your time in a therapy session feel as safe and productive as possible. Looking at your emotions and maybe even past life events and relationships can be a little scary. Dana has over 15 years of counseling experience to help you find release from what is weighing you down. Very often, the answers or “tools” needed to make a big decision or to manage your mood are already inside of you. Dana is trained to help you see your strengths and then apply them to the task at hand. And, you will find you laugh as much in each session as you may shed a tear.
Professional Counseling SERVICES
Feel at ease and in control with private counseling for grief, trauma, anxiety and other mental health issues such as depression, addiction, and personality disorders. Working your way through mental health questions can be quite scary. Dana will help you identify existing strengths, as well as introduce you to new strategies for managing your mental well being. You may find it takes less time to get noticeable relief than what you think.
Dana has launched a Mobile Mindfulness, On-site Employee Well-being program to meet the needs of area businesses and manufacturers by providing mental and physical health support programs on site. Dana has developed the stress reduction framework for management and employees through her P.A.C.E. program. Changing the way we breathe and think goes a long way in improving the employee’s overall health, productivity and job satisfaction.
Yoga has finally gained scientific ground as related to its positive impact on mental health. Dana is a registered yoga teacher, as well as licensed professional counselor. If the client (or business) is on board, Dana can incorporate yoga postures and breathing into counseling sessions or workshops that reduce anxiety and trauma symptoms, as well as regulate overall mood.
